Please remind me that there will be a time that Baby V starts sleeping through the night. Now that she's in her crib, it's so much more terrible when she wakes up. It's nice to have an hour or so in the evenings to clean up and bond with Hub-D, but after waking up and slogging to her room for the second time at 4am, I just take her back to bed with me, defeated by the process.
NOTE TO OTTO: If you continue to meow at 4:30am, at the precise moment I've almost fallen back asleep, I will be forced to remind you that YOU CAN BE REPLACED.
The good news is that Baby V is falling back in love with her crib, and is sleeping much more easily in there, especially now that I prop up a blanket to keep a pacifier lodged in her craw. (And then I sneak in there and remove it once she's solidly asleep.) So going to sleep is less of a problem, but STAYING ASLEEP is the issue.
She teased me last week by sleeping from 11pm until 6am. I thought, "Ah yes! Cue the angels! Now I'll sleep, and I'll probably start ovulating too!"
Then it all started crumbling around me, and I'm up three or four times a night. Plus when other people wake me up.
NOTE TO CHEBBLES: SEE OTTO'S NOTE ABOVE.
Don't look now, there's a monkey on my back. Oh, and if anyone wants to store any valuables in the bags under my eyes, they're for rent.

oh, man, Shaken M. I am right there with you, down to the LOUD and ANNOYING pets. Sounds like V has a slight case of Organic Mattress Syndrome (or, in this case, Gorgeous Crib Syndrome) that plagued Bebs. Do you know if Lunesta is safe for kids/babies?? (kidding.) hang in there.
why do you think my cat sleeps LOCKED in the garage???
As for V, it took Z until he weighed just about what V weighs now to sleep through the night. I guess in some kids it has to do with how well they can fend off hunger pains (i.e. how big the stomach is I guess) before they can sleep at night. Then it is all about the heart-wrenching training. But this too shall pass, I promise.
Wait, is that my two year old waking up again? No, just kidding!
I should tell you guys that last night she woke up EIGHT TIMES. Pass the Lunesta...
I ma hearing you on the sleep thing. We have GOT to get Mylo out of our bed. I also think about violin shops when my feline friend decides he needs an escort to the food bowl in the kitchen, followed by a long stare outside but not actually wanting to go outside.
