One advantage of homeschooling is that you are not required to hang out with a bunch of other random parents.
Unfortunately, this means that no one has to hang out with YOU either.
(It's a little pathetic that I considered sending Gigi to preschool, just so I could talk to other moms in the pick-up line.)
In the new year, I'm going to be DILIGENT about attending the homeschool park days -- I never realized what a lifeline they are, for the MOMS!

Just hang in there it will all smooth out even if it doesn't look like it right now. We home schooled both of our children. Our daughter all the way through High School and our son up until High School. What really helps is if you can find the Home Schooling support groups in your area.We belonged to three of them so it gave us lots of activities to choose from. They usually have several outings each month that you can participate in.Even though we did this years ago in a state that at the time it wasn't super popular, there were for example parties for each holiday like a Valentines party at the local skating rink Also there was a weekly literature class and a computer class at one of the local churches. There was even one lady in the group that knew someone who did ceramics and lined up an outing for our group to go to her studio and each child got to make a ceramic bird house. They all turned out so cute.So if you get involved with them it will give you and your child interaction with other people plus you have lots of fun. I didn't mean to write a book!
Thanks for your comment, Alicia, that definitely helps. Being a part of those groups, and rededicating myself to participation has made a very big different. Thanks again!
